From the point of view of the world, the demand of titanium dioxide closely relate  to global GDP growth. 1990-2011, global demand for titanium dioxide from less than 300 million tons increases to about 540 million tons, with an average  annual compound growth rate is 3%. With 2012 demand declined and 2013 demand rebounded, the need of global titanium dioxide is still expected to maintain   a growth rate of about 4.5% in 2013-2020. Many developing countries will   contribute to the main demand increment based on the promotion of per capita   consumption of titanium dioxide

At present, China has become the world’s biggest titanium dioxide producer and   consumer.2013 China's per capita consumption of titanium dioxide was 1.29Kg,   equivalent domestic demand to 175.5 million tons. In 2015, China's titanium   dioxide per capita consumption volume reached 1.5kg. Total demand is about   206 million tons, equivalent to an average annual growth rate of 8.4%. If   China's titanium dioxide per capita consumption amount can reach Europe 2kg,   total demand of about 275 million tons, it will be a huge room for growth.

From   the point of view of downstream applications, about 60% of the titanium   dioxide used in coating.2014, coatings production in China reached to 1648.19   million tons. 2013 coating production growth rate is only 2.48%. Coating  consumption returned to high growth is helpful for promoting upstream   titanium dioxide market demand. In JAN. & FEB.2015, coating production in   our country is 20.008 million tons, compared with the same period in 2014   grew 23.45%.

We believe that the next   few years the domestic demand for titanium dioxide is still expected to   maintain a growth rate 8%. According to estimates, China's demand for   titanium dioxide will be about 280 million tons in 2014, reach about 380   million tons in 2015.
